While the Emergency Parking Brake was activated and vehicle in Park in the driveway that is on a hill, the car began rolling down the driveway at a fast rate of speed with no one in drivers seat. 3 young kids were in car seats in the van with it running while we were outside of the vehicle speaking. All doors locked and it flew down the driveway almost flipping over at the bottom. We took the vehicle to the dealership we purchased it from on June 29, 2023 and they could not recreate the issue. No warning lights were on prior to this incident and when citizens that stopped when this happened, got in the vehicle to dislodge it from the dirt that thankfully stopped it from flipping, they verified that it still showed the E Brake as being engaged it was still in park. No police or insurance was called because there was no damage to the vehicle or children but the dealership was called. I do have video of this event but your website does not accept videos

Van will bog down and then just shut off. Will also take 5-6 times before it will restart. The electrical goes haywire randomly. Found out the tipm is bad and there was a recall on other vehicles doing the same exact thing during the same years.

I think the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan mainstreet should be recalled. The cars electrical system is always falling lights come on while im driving and won't turn off for a half hour layer no matter what I do. The air bag lights are always coming on and the transmission is failing when you shift into gear there's always a big gumping sound and the shift gets stuck in parked gear for minutes before it wants to shift into gear. I've read a lot of the same problems with this make and model car they should be recalled its dangerous

I have had my van now for about 700 miles, we bought it used from a local dealership. I ran the van through an automatic car wash, and when I put the van back into gear and began to move the check engine light came on. So I turned off the van hoping to reset the check engine light and the van did not want to start back up. (at this point I am in a alley with one way traffic) finally I got the van to start but the check engine light was still on when I put it into gear it sputtered and then stopped it gave a red light with a bolt through it and also the oil light came one. Again I tried several times to start the vehicle and finally got it to go again. Then while driving down the road it began shifting on its own, it is an automatic but the 1, 2, 4, 3, 2, 1 gears began showing an finally it stalled, lucky I was able to coast into a parking lot. This vehicle is not trust worthy. Please investigate this issue. I do have some video of these things happening.

There is a faulty tipm in my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. This causes my vehicle to stall in the middle of the road or not start when I am away from home. We have been stuck blocking traffic on the middle of a busy highway multiple times due to a fuel pump relay that stops working and disrupts gas flow to the engine. Currently my car is disabled due to this tipm. Diesel Dodge vehicles are unsafe due to the disruption in the power module that supplies every system in the car with power to keep the vehicle running. As I was driving today, my air conditioner stopped, all lights on the dashboard lit up and I'll try am is in the car we're arranging this caused me to turn and go home immediately so I would not get stuck in the middle of the highway. Once I got home I was on able to start my vehicle and it currently has no power at all

Dodge has known about issues with transmissions for years 2011 Grand Caravan models and has put out several technical service bulletins regarding these issues and issues with oxygen sensors as well. Now, my vehicle is at a dealership with a transmission that needs to be replaced and faulty O2 sensors that total between $6,000 and $7,000 worth of work. Dodge also knows about brake issues that affect the safe operation and stopping of these models and has yet to repair any of these issues.

The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The failure occurred intermittently. An independent mechanic repaired the camshaft and fuel pump, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired a third time. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,000.

Check engine light is not resetting due to P0740 code even after changing valve body and related solenoids on transmission. Van does not have any issues while driving. No gas mileage issues. Currently it is ~93K. Dealer is also not sure. He says need to overhaul the torque converter (cost $1100) then he will know if anything else is damaged. In that case he has to rebuild the transmission (cost $2800). 2nd option to put a remanufactured transmission (cost $3100). I have read online there is a ongoing issue with Dodge transmissions (2011 to 2014 models) which is not being recalled. Many a times changing transmission did not solve the issue. My personal mechanic also said he got this issue in many of the Dodge vans. Would request NHTSA to seriously consider this investigation.

Tamara are all I was driving home from the hospital and all of a sudden the van would not go over 20 mph. We were on the highway. And it was without warning. I had to pull over at a service station and wait 45 mins for someone to come. I had it towed to my house the next day which cost 150 dollars. Then I tried to take it to a shop to be fixed but after 1.5 weeks they say it would be 2500 to fix. We didn't have that because my husband was in the hospital for heart failure. So I had to go get another car and am waiting for the van to be fixed. I am pregnant and had my daughter with me on the side of the road in a gas station. Which was terrible.

The van's engine shutdown while my wife was driving the van at night and barely had enough time to pull to the side of the road before losing control of steering. She had just made a right turn onto the highway. Towed the van to a local dealer and found the issue to be the diode on the alternator failing causing electrical feedback to the powertrain control module (PCM). So had to spend a lot of money to have the alternator and PCM replaced. I am aware other vehicle lines of 2011 have a recall for this specific issue and am unsure why the Dodge Grand Caravan is not on the list. There needs to be an investigation and have this vehicle added to the recall.

2011 Dodge Caravan purchased 3/2017. Motor had a slight knocking sound took it back to dealer they sent me to their mechanic. I was assured that it was fine. Then brakes went really low and did not stop right. Told it was a master cylinder.installed that then it happened again so was told that it was a bad master cylinder. Installed another one. Did not fix the problem after a few days."???? then I was told we needed a brake booster. Installed that and it did seem like that was it fixed, then the brake light came on and brake pedal went low. Now it has a very horrible sound and the trany at times does not want to shift and the RPM's go up and I have to pull over and shut off the vehicle and turn it back on and it will shift.???? electronical.??" I have read complaints on NHTSA and I feel like Dodge should repair the brakes and the trany problem. From what I can read it is a defective part of the programming. The horrible nosie when you pull off, I dont know what it is but sounds bad.. I called Dodge dealership right after I bought the van and they were very rude and said there were not any recalls for this 2011 van and I see that there is and some says complete. Well if they are complete seems to me like it needs to be repaired again because it is doing what I see that people are complaining about. I owe nearly 14,000 on this van.. doge/Chrysler should make it good. The complete on the recalls like I said is not complete. Please help me if you can. I dont have much faith after the person at the Dodge dealership was so rude to me, but maybe you all there can help me get it repaired. This is a safety issue.the windows sometimes dont want to come down and yall have something about it might catch on fire.the keybob will not open the side doors.
