This is dangerous - someone will get killed. I have 5 kids and Chrysler knows its a problem. They should address it asap I called the dealer and they tell me there is no recall.

Chrysler needs to fess up and fix this problem for all the hundreds of thousands of vehicle owners out there. I'm sure there have been some serious accidents related to this problem. We were among the lucky ones who just got stranded and had to have the vehicle towed home. Even after paying $1250.00 it's still not fixed. It sits in my driveway because our mechanic knows it will die again and when it does we'll be at the mercy of the vehicle, no brakes or steering. Now tell me who wants to risk driving it.?

Our mechanic sent it to Cogdill Dodge and paid $1019.00 and it's still not fixed. We've got 3 payments left and are we pissed.Secret City Auto Dealers where we bought the caravan sent us a letter offering us $6,775.00 trade-in on a new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram. Now who really wants to even consider another Chrysler product? Our van has 69,070 miles on it.We have always taken good care of our vehicle, had the oil changed regularly every 3,000 miles kept it clean, etc.

This is our last new vehicle. My husband is 82 and I will soon be 80. He's still working and is going to retire when the van is paid for. We are just not going to start paying for another new car. This problem I've been bitching about is the TIPM, Totally Integrated Power Module. It was put in Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep vehicles in 2007 and later models. Look out if you own one it's subject to blow up at any time. It was referred to as a DEMON car by one of the web sites. The windows go up & down on their own, the horn blows, the wipers go off & on, just all kinds of crazy stuff. SCARY HUH!!!!

Engine stalled while driving in the city. Loss of power steering and brakes. Coasted and used e-brakes to avoid almost rear ending a vehicle in front. Ended up stopped in the middle of a intersection. Took numerous tries and after 15 mins or so, was able to restart the car. Drove home where it completely died and wouldn't turn on the next day. Researched online to find complaints from many others have faulty TIPM. Towed it to the dealership. Mentioned possible faulty fuel relay issue but service manager says the mechanic says the whole TIPM needs to be replaced as opposed just the fuel relay and quoted me $1700 for part and labour. This is my family car so i had no choice but to get it replaced ASAP as i needed it on the road again. Otherwise, would have sent it out to third party services to get the relay replaced which would have taken a week at least to get done. Complained to Dodge about the incident and that this is NOT a wear and tear item and should be recalled or they need to cover the costs of replacing this vital defective part. They agreed that it is not a normal wear and tear item but that it is still covered under a specific warranty which is the standard 3 year or 60k and refused to reimburse me. I've had issues starting up the vehicle since around 65k mileage. How convenient is happens right after warranty expires. Actual engine stalling while driving is where it really ticked me off because if this happened on the highway, the end result of have been much different. To make matters worse, my whole family of 6 was in the car! Filed a complaint with ministry of transport. Hopefully others with issues in Canada will do the same so it may pressure them to issue a recall as not much seems to have been done on the Canadian side as opposed to the US side! Don't just complain on the forums! Call up Chrysler and file complaints with them and the Ministry of Transport as well!

This car has been stalling on me all day, it is approximately a mile and a half from my house to my friends house and in that distance the vehicle stalled 6 times. We've already replaced the fuel pump and the battery and we had a full tank of gas.

Previously owned a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan that ultimately needed a new TIPM and alternator. It shut off on us while driving on the freeway! It shut off on us in the intersection. It wouldn't start after filling the vehicle with gas. It took a long time to diagnose the problem. Once it was figured out we did fix the problems and then ultimately bought a newer van.

We purchased a used 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan and thought the newer vehicle would be safer. Horrifyingly, it too has started having the same issue. When we fill the van, it quite often takes many tries to start it. We already know how expensive the fix is because we just went through this with our previous vehicle! I feel disheartened that the car manufacture seems aware of the issue but has not come forward to remedy it. Something needs to be done!

Husband carpooling with van...during drive to work lights flashing on and off..remember you have to manually switch lights on..on way back home at 3:00a.m, lights flashing on and off, vehicle stalled 6 times while driving 70-75 miles per hour on expressway..distance of 85 miles. took vehicle to Chysler dealership, they had car for 1 week and unable to duplicate problem...Chrysler advised them to return vehicle. ok return the death trap..could stall in traffic at anytime...MY LIFE MATTERS..apparently Chrysler just doesn't care...after extensive research this appears to be a defective TIPM....brought to 2nd dealership, they said problem was battery and reprogrammed it???? so I have a great choice, drive to work on highway 55 mph or drive expressway 70 mph.
