I drive for part of my day and need to use the GPS on my cell phone. I am on my 4th charger as in the Dodge Caravan 2012 car I am driving the chargers get hot and I have had two smolder and one create smoke in the car. The last one only lasted three months and burned out. It says in the manual to use only the one port for charging the other is for a lighter, which is what we do but it still burns out the charger.

I will bring car in with the other recall I just got but if it cannot be fixed this van will have to go. I do not recommend this vehicle for anyone who travels and wants to use a GPS or have the safety of a charged phone. Is anyone else having this issue? I have not seen recalls as this can cause a fire.
