1st problem erratic ignition stalling while in park. Battery was replaced and taken to shop, the auto technician assumed based on P0128 P0520 P0441 it was gas fuel cap, switch oil pressure, housing thermostat, gasket intake manifold they replaced O2 sensors vacuum line read a sensor with evapo system causing check engine light came on and a host of other items checked gas cap totaled me $779. Car refuse to started next mornings for pass two weeks every morning several attempts to start car after parked overnight no start only stalling first. Then waited an hour put car in neutral see if car starts it did. After driving that day while driving car acceleration began to go fast by itself on a highway then jerk RPM dropped down while driving my children in the car. I thought maybe gear was out of place so I looked to see if it was in drive, it was in drive. Went back to auto shop they said since car is working now can't hook up system to check P codes because it won't show up if it's working.told me drive 60 miles to see prob continue. Next morning car didn't start, no fuse signal shows. Then car was dead one click sound, no stall. Called roadside assist and tried to jump battery. Guy said it's not battery he said it's the fuel pump. Contacted the auto mechanic spoke with mgr of shop and said it can be a tipm and cost $1200. This is a very unstable and unsafe issue my family and I drive in this van don't feel safe 2nd issue car hesitated to stop two months ago when I pressed the brakes to stop car while driving on road to stop at red light, no stop I had to pump brakes and I thought it was brakes I paid for replacement of brakes and pads as well. This electrical module has been the cause of known incidents. It can cause accidents. The van is dangerous safety hazard. Tipm and electrical system is creating unsafe braking and ignition fuel conditions causing malfunction

While driving on the highway my van lost all power and shut off. No steering, nothing. We pulled over on a ramp putting our children's lives and our own in danger, to walk home. The tipm seems to be the problem. The van will not restart, will not crank, and is currently sitting while I see all of the recall attempts for tipms.

2012 Dodge Caravan loses power while driving without warning! no check engine light. No codes. Shuts off in any condition. Very dangerous! have looked up the issue in Dodge forums and it's a known issue that could possibly have something to do with the tipm on many Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep vehicles. It's an intermittent issue. Had dropped off my kids at school and went to put van into park and van died but on its own came back on. Loses power intermittently while driving on freeway. Can even hear loss of power through the heater/ac unit. Please fix this issue before someone is killed! only way to prove is to let a mechanic/ Dodge drive it around and let them find out the hard way. Issue occurs when going O or any speed.

I have previously reported an issue with my vehicle. The problem has persisted. The issue at hand is the vehicle loses power without warning while driving. It has happened at low speeds (25 mph), middle speeds (45 mph) and high speeds (65-70 mph). All warning lights are disabled when the events occur, so there is no way to warn other vehicles of the issues at hand, increasing the probability of a crash. I have taken my vehicle to cutter Dodge in honolulu only to have been told that the battery cables were loose ($150 service fee) and that the primer that is included with new batteries to apply on the battery posts was something that they'd never seen before. The problem has persisted. I currently have my vehicle at a repair shop with a battery that won't hold a charge because the intergrated power module is malfunctioning. As seen is previous complaints, this issue is ongoing with 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. This issue presents a significant safety hazard and should be recalled. I will repeat that the driver has no warning that this issue will occur and it puts lives in danger. My vehicle has less than 110,000 miles and it began before reaching 100,000 miles. Recall this part before lives are lost or maimed.

Vehicle electrical and engine shutdown suddenly while driving 30mph on the road. No power steering or brakes, had to pull over to the shoulder. Was able to restart the car and drive normally after a few minutes. Brought to dealer but no engine codes were discovered. Has recurred more than once in a 2yr period. Related to this electrical (tipm) problem, car often requires 3 or 4 attempts to start. Will sometimes start on its own several seconds after key stopped turning.

Fuel relay switch continuously runs after the vehicle is shut off which drains the battery and prevents it from starting. The vehicle then needs to be jump started by another vehicle and once the original vehicle is running and put into drive to be moved it shuts itself off because the battery is not fully charged.

The totally integrated power module (tipm) on my Dodge Caravan vehicle contains an internal fuel pump relay that operates intermittently and fails without warning caused and still causes the engine to stall while driving which could cause a crash. There is no warning when the fuel pump is going to fail. This is a known issue on the 2012 Dodge Caravan, but no recall to date.

My van draws down the battery, found the fuel pump was not shutting off. The tipm is bad and I continue to wrestle with the problem. When I first complained to the dealer, they told me I had a dead cell in my battery. They said to replace the battery. I allowed them to replace it. About 2 weeks later, the car would not start. Same problem, over and over. The fuel pump will continue to run, now I have to pull the fuse so as to not drain my battery and hope and pray the van will start. Once it starts, I tend not to shut it off but this week it has been stalling on me and I am scared to drive it out of my drive way. It stalled on St rd 74, which is a 4 lane high way that is heavily traveled thru my town. Is there any class action suits going on for this same problem? I saw one ran back in 2013, I think it was with the Chrysler Corp. Need help to repair the vehicle once and for all. My car was in for a recall 2 years ago where my car would not switch gears when driving. Prior I complained several times before to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong until I found the recall or concern on line. My car is now showing the same signs as before along with stalling when I hit the break and making a ticking noise. How do I get this resolved since obviously it is a manufacturer issue with the car. This happens on highways, city streets when the car is in motion.

The tipm is just shot and I've had the altnator replaced the starter and it's definitely tipm related. I don't understand why the recall on this excluded my van, it's been doing this for several months and it's making the vehicle unsafe. Please investigate this situation. (I have 4 kids and two of them have special needs and I need my vehicle to be safe for my kids, and right now it's just a joke and I'm telling you this van is possessed) it's completely unreasonable for the my Dodge to keep burning through everything I've put it in it. Please investigate this, the issue isn't gonna go away and I can't keep burning through parts and further destroying the vehicle. The recall that was issued excluded my van but everything from that recall is happening to my van and has been for several months and Dodge keeps giving me the run around. I've been a Dodge owner my whole life. But Dodge is about to lose a [xxx] good loyal customer because this is beyond ridiculous. Ive been getting the run around from Dodge since the beginning of November of 2018. Please investigate this. My 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, with approx. 62,000 miles, keep cutting when I try to start it. The dealer says it the tipm, which costs $1,638. The van will start then cut off. I had to have the battery charged twice before I took it to the dealer for diagnostic.

My van will die at times going down road or just not start, after parking it. Then the check engine and stability control flashes on dash. Will not come out of park. Then it may start randomly and run for a few weeks or couple of months and do same thing again. We have put new brakes, battery, checked fuel pump, and put new tires and had censors on wheels checked. Still does not start. T

While attempting to turn left onto two lane highway, van surged, all dashboard lights came on and then had almost no acceleration. Had to maneuver into center turning lane and then was able to get van into parking lot of store. Engine was revving but van would not go above 10mph. Van was towed to local dealership tonight. This is the third time this has happened since late December of 2015. Main computer (tipm) has been replaced twice already by dealership. Dodge did help cover part of repair cost first time, never heard back from them when it happened again in the end of February and just filed third claim / complaint tonight. Just wondering if they are waiting for someone in my family to be seriously injured or killed when the vehicle does this before acknowledging that there is an inherent issue with this van or the parts they are repairing it with.

My van is only 3 years old and have had to replace the battery in Sept 2015. It's mid November and now I'm having trouble with the battery dying frequently. I went to where I purchased the battery from and they checked the battery and said it's fine. The motor ranks without starting 2-3 times before finally starting. I believe this is because of the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. The relays chatter a lot and the fuel pump sounds much different now than it did when I purchased the vehicle. It's as if the battery is being G drained slowly because of either the fuel pump or fuel pump relay or both. I am a certified aircraft and auto mechanic with electrical troubleshooting capabilities. I have yet to approach the Dodge dealer with this because it has only happened twice so far with me being at work while my wife has had to deal with this issue both times so far.

Tried to leave babysitter after 5 minute pickup and van wouldn't start. No power for anything like battery. Charge did not help. Slight click when you turn over key similar to starter but not as loud. Read all reviews for others and with tipm failure and their combined issues sounds like tipm. No power, won't start, shifts rough.
