I purchased this vehicle for the great reviews since I have 4 little children. It is only 4 years old and the transmission will not shift out of 2nd gear!!!!! This is not exceptable. How can a newer vehicle's transmission go out?
I am very upset with Dodge! They do not stand behind their products. I am trying to buy American products however I am walking in the cold with 4 children that are sick because my newer Dodge Caravan is in the shop for 2 weeks getting a new transmission installed!!!!! How can a company sell a product that has bad parts in it for a horrendous price?
Americans spend more money on vehicles than we do on houses but these companies make bad vehicles!!! So, NO ONE SHOULD BUY A DODGE!!!! They use cheap parts and won't stand behind their products!!!! A 4 year old vehicle should not have to replace (a major part) a transmission!!!!

Transmission went into "limp mode" twice while driving. Stuck in limp mode now. First time, I reset after being shut off for 2 hours, Then yesterday, limp mode engage at 65 mph on highway during sudden braking. Had to drive 70 miles home at 25 mph from there. Check engine light came on, but need Chrysler scanner to retrieve code. Tried the hack method (turning key from ACC to RUN 3x) but info cluster showed dashes and no code, followed by 'Done'.
Will update when I learn the damages.
