The drivers side headrest deployed without being in a collision in our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. After doing research, I see the problem is when 2 plastic retainers broke due to stress allowing metal claws to pull a metal bar from the retainers and allowed the headrest to pop open. The metal bar is still lodges in the metal claw. There is no option to mechanically reset. The cost to replace according to the Chrysler dealer is almost $700. I'm seeing complaints registered but I haven't found a recall yet. The dealer parts staff was not aware of a recall or any reimbursement.

I see that Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep only has extended warranty to only a few of their vehicles that have experienced this problem and then they have the audacity to fight the issue in court.
