We were on vacation in Kissimee fl. driving at night, did a turn, the engine shuttered twice then the engine died. Would not crank back up. Had to be towed, waited an hour at 10 at night in a strange place. Was without transportation the next day and had to spend an unexpected 12 hundred dollars on a part that Dodge knows it has had problems with for years. They should be ashamed for putting their consumers through that. and are still not willing to take responsibility for it and reimburse us. I understand there is a class action lawsuit pending.

Front blower motor stopped working intermittently. Finally caught it acting up and tested power to the blower motor with the key on and the fan speed set to full blast and found nada. No power to the motor. Checked continuity to ground, had a good path to ground. Checked power at the motor resistor, found no power at the resistor. Checked fuses and swapped relays in the fuse box and could not get power to the blower motor. Disconnected batteries and checked continuity between the blower motor resistor power terminal and the TIPM terminal and found the wiring to be in good shape, which meant the TIPM was at fault. Ordered a replacement TIPM and installed it and the problem went away. VERY expensive fix. Vehicle was down for three days while the parts were shipped and installed.
Very frustrating problem and Dodge/Chrysler refuses to admit that it has a problem with these TIPMs. Google TIPM and there are literally over a million results, a fair chunk of them have to do with these things failing. NHTSA even did an investigation, but they also failed to call these damn things faulty. Lawsuits, Investigations, thousands upon thousands of complaints and they still won't admit there's a problem.
Very disappointed with Dodge/Chrysler. More than likely the last I will ever buy.
