problem #2

Grand Caravan AVP 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,880 miles

I am yelling because calls to services at the dealership are not returned while the car is stuck and will not start, while only the check engine light stays on. The engine does not turn, only panel lights blink when engaging start key. If it is common problem with this model after about four years since I bought it new. Others seem to have worse problems stalling while driving and I am concerned that this could be the design fault to follow after earlier models.

Grand Caravan

I had turned on my car and my foot was on the brake. It was stiff and I put the car in reverse and came up off the brake. I did not move. The engine light was on. I moved the car into drive and park and reverse. I hit the gas really hard. I took out my phone and video it. I kept moving the shifter and hitting the gas. Finally the engine light went off and I was able to go.

I went to Dodge and told them the issue. They said nothing can be done because when they plugged the computer into my car, there is no code. It would be like shooting darts into the air. They don't know what the issue is. My husband made them call Chrysler. They were suppose to have a conference call. My husband asked then to send the video I took to them. They said if they sent all the videos they received then they would be sending 5 a day. The problem is, this isn't the 1st time this problem happen to me. It happen to be the 1st time when I was at a stop light about three months before. I stopped to make a left hand turn. I went to hit the gas and I couldn't move. I had to turn off my car and restart it in the middle of the road. That day I took it to the dealership. There was no code when they hooked it up to the computer. Nothing happen. I bought this car with 7 miles on it. This shouldn't happen.
