Grand Caravan

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,800 miles

Took vehicle in to dealer, said they could not recreate the problem, spoke Customer Service, took vehicle back again to dealer, I was advised they would contact Technical Services & test would be run, to identify the sound. After sitting at the dealer for 2 1/2 hours, they said that they test drove the car, again could not recreate the condition and told me that is was standard for the vehicle to make loud noises and pull to the left in windy conditions. Well the dealer failed to test drive the car, but noted on Invoice they drove it 2 miles, and said Chrysler Service stated that was standard on wasn't and issue. Well the mileage was the exact miles as when I drove into the dealership, they did not drive the nor make any attempt to locate the problem. They said it was standard and nothing I could do. I ask about potential Risk with the Windshield creating such loud sounds, again said that was not a problem.

Upon arriving home, I called Pat in Customer Care/Service, she proceeded to ,give me the same old story, that it was standard.and nothing or no action would be taken. I truly regret buying this vehicle!!!!!

Grand Caravan SE Plus 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,832 miles

The whistling noise ranges in sound from high pitch to ghostly moaning, it roams, and it occurs unpredictably during various speeds. Researching, most seem to believe it's causes from the windshield having not been installed correctly and with outdated urethane sealant. Curiously, there's been a Recall concerning the windshield and the urethane used to install the windshield, yet my 2015 Grand Caravan as well as many others' (from differing year models) were not included in the recall. Since the noises can't be pinpointed, I'd managed to get one mechanic to hear them, another didn't, which makes for difficulty when diagnosing and fixing. Nevertheless, when so many whose vans still have this problem, certainly Dodge/Chrysler needs renew the recall so to include ALL Caravan owners.
