Wow, the 2016 BraunAblilty Dodge Grand Caravan SXT we bought new has developed rust around the right rear wheel arch. Took the van to a Braun dealer and as the rust is above where Braun replaces the floor they said it's a Chrysler issue and they haven't seen a van with such low mileage, 17,400, with rust there before as well as the rust blisters under the paint on the front hood. Took the van to Chrysler, who is now trying to say its a Braun issue, until I called Braun and then MAGICALLY, the dealer will take care of it when they fix the front hood rust (known Chrysler issue). When you spend over $50,000 on a new handicap accessible vehicle and don't drive it in super bad weather (power wheelchairs are lousy in the snow) rust was the very last thing I thought we would be having issues with. I knew I was going to have to play pass the buck issues with the Chrysler dealership though because of the in-floor ramp conversion by Braun. Amazed how quickly their tune changed when I had Braun on the phone. I should also mention that a I was told by the Chrysler dealer that they won't cover a rental vehicle while the van is in (4 days) either. Not the usually dependable Chrysler products I'm used to after the almost 20 years and my 5th MOPAR vehicle.
