My 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew is not what I expected with just 50,000 kilometers. I went to a shopping mall with my twin 4-year old granddaughters. Came back after shopping and the driver side power sliding door won't open. I tried to open it manually and remotely with the key fob, overhead open button and the door pillar remote and still won't open.
No clicking sound or anything. I called the Canadian FCA office and told them about the problem and was told to bring it to the dealer. I asked if it's under warranty and was told the dealer will check and will let me know.
I called the dealer and told them about the problem and and if it's under warranty and was told no and I will have to pay for the diagnosis. It will cost between $1200 and $1500 to fix which I find very expensive. So I checked online for any complaints and read lots.
It should be recalled because if both doors don't work during an accident with small children inside, it will be dangerous if there's fire. They should think about the safety of their customers and just make profit. This is my 2nd Grand Caravan. My first one which is a 2011 Grand Caravan Express is still running well.
