While driving our 2016 Dodge caravan it just stops moving and the RPM's race up to around 7000. Luckily I was on a country road when this happen. I was able to get the car somewhat off the road and after having my mechanic check it out it was determined it was the Trans Pump. I had it towed to our local Dodge dealership and they confirmed it was the pump. I checked for a recall and my van fit all the description of the recall ( S 44 ) but my vin did not. I owe less than $2500 on this van and now I am having to pay another $2000 for the repair. I can't believe how cheap they are building these cars these days, and they have shortened up the drive train warranty to 60,000 miles I am never buying a Dodge again. Very pissed off and dissatisfied customer.

I had purchased an extended warranty that expired at 80,000 miles. At 81,000 miles the transmission started making a horrible noise. At first it would at least move but then started violently jerking. I was in heavy traffic so it took me about 10 minutes to get off the road. Had it towed to the dealership and they said "oh yeah, you need a new transmission" like it was no big deal. They wanted $9000 to do it and even though only 1000 miles out of warranty they wouldn't do anything at all. I took it somewhere else and had it fixed for $4000. 2000 miles later the engine started missing out terribly. P0306 a known issue in earlier models and I have heard that Chrysler has extended the warranty to 150000 miles for that issue. But "oh not on the 2016" That will be $3000 more dollars to fix. I've had 5 Chrysler vans over the past 20 years and have loved them, but never more.

Shuddering when going into reverse and especially when trying to back up a hill in reverse. I have an appointment with service center to check it out so I will update once I know something.

minimal to extreme shutter in reverse
So I need to ask the public a question, I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan SE plus with a 3.6 liter pentastar V-6 coupled with a 6-speed transmission. I know that the six-speed transmission has been existing for quite some time and I have seen some of the reviews with some issues pertaining to it. Recently I had it serviced for a concern that I had when placing it in reverse... after placing it in reverse easing off the brake it starts to to have a rhythmic Shake. Gets worse when it is on an uphill as if you were backing up into a driveway it is most noticeable. Now the symptoms to go away as you give it more gas it only happens as the car begins to move in reverse. I have noticed it ever so slightly when I put it into drive as I'm easing off the break as well. While I was at the dealer showing the technician the symptoms he seemed just as puzzled as I was. It was disclosed to me by a service manager at this complaint has come in in the past. They went as far as bringing a brand new 2016 Caravan still with much plastic on it and the symptoms were very much present in that same vehicle. This looks to me like a design flaw or programming issue with the 6-speed transmission. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I am currently talking to the corporate office of Dodge to try to get some sort of understanding of this situation.

I just missed that they said it was 6000 miles over warranty. It cost so much to fix, and I couldn't find anyone to help me.
