Passenger door wont lock or open elect. Drivers side is locked and will not open at all totally locked a big safety hazard the acuators on both doors are faulty and are a big danger if you can not get out of the vehicle. This has been known for years by Dodge and nothing has happened. Please recall this major problem there are thousands on the internet that has same problem both sliding doors thank you

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated there was an abnormal clicking noise detected from the driver's side rear sliding door. The sliding door had seized and failed to open. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer however, the vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.

The passenger side automatic sliding door has stopped working. Can-??t open it manually either. The door is stuck in a closed position and can-??t even unlock the door. This is a safety issue due to in an emergency we can get out of the vehicle using that door.

The driver's side door will no longer open, whether automatically or manually. You cannot manually unlock the door from the inside or open it from the inside, which poses a safety issue, in my opinion.

Drivers side sliding door locked after passenger entered vehicle. Door would not unlock both electrically and manually. Passengers needed to exit vehicle thru passenger side. What would the result have been if vehicle were in an accident? This could still happen. I called dealer and was informed this is a common problem. A Technical Service Bulletin has been issued, but is not a covered repair. Cost of repair is around $500 per door. TSB number is 23-017-20

I purchased the vehicle in February 2019 and within a year the passenger-side sliding door would not unlock and would not open. Through research, I learned it was the actuator that had gone out in the door. In November of 2021, the driver-side sliding door started making a grinding noise every time the doors were locked, indicating the actuator on that door was about to go out as well. Not having access to open the back doors of a minivan negates the benefits of driving a van, plus can cause a serious safety concern if individuals aren't able to exit the vehicle if needed.

Since I purchased my 2017 Dodge Caravan, a piece of the door panel came off while driving down the road. The rear air cuts in and out. The horn cuts in and out. The driver side sliding door will stick shut and not open and when it does open it makes a loud buzzing sound every time the door opens or locks. Now at 110,000 miles, the car not starting, then starting but acting like its about to die. Battery and alternator both tested good and we are being told it is probably a faulty computer system.

Our drivers side back sliding door lock mares a loud buzzing sound but doesn-??t lock. This is a huge safety issue as my 3year child sits by that door and could potentially open the door. There has been no warning signs. Our van is only 4 years old it should be having expensive issues like this.

The Driver side sliding door does not open, and the passenger side sliding door does not lock. Both pose a danger in the event of an emergency or can cause an emergency when a passenger opens door in moving vehicle. The stow and go seats in second row do not always latch and can begin closing when a passenger is sitting on the seat.
