10/2020 - Bought this van at Findlay Honda in Henderson, relied upon Carfax report provided by the dealer that No Manufacture Recalls Reported to Carfax. Vehicle Qualifies for the Carfax Buyback Program. [XXX] - @ around 1am I was driving at [XXX] towards [XXX] when the van lose power and was forced to parked near a safety zone. Waited out for an hour and was able to arrived home safely. 02/24/24 - Called Findlay Honda about the incident but was told it was not covered by an extended warranty. Was told to call Towbin Dodge Henderson. The van was towed by Agero Towing to Towbin Dodge for diagnosis. 02/29/24 - Towbin Dodge Henderson confirmed that the Automatic Transmission failed and must be replaced and fix for $8,100+ coz it's no longer covered by a manufacturer's warranty for driving 60,298 miles. The vehicle was not inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives. [XXX] - I noticed a dashboard warning to change oil so I went to a mechanic friend for change oil that day. Went back to mechanic on 02/21/24 because the warning for change oil still popping up. Ask to check the transmission oil and showed me the oil level is proper and color is red. Transmission pump failure. Same issue as previously recalled models from 2013-2017. Transmission failed while driving. Vehicle will no longer shift. Vehicle is maintained properly and up to date on all other repairs/maintenance. Code pulled at mechanic is P1790. No response from Dodge. Any interaction is either ended by their representative disconnecting or rerouting me to a department that has no clue what to do.

I had the check engine light on for an unknown amount of time, as the initially lookover of the vehicle with the dealership advised it was a gascap sensor. However, they did attempt to fix by changing the sparkplugs when it was inspected June 2024 which didn't correct the issue. Since then, it has been looked at by 2 mechanic shops due to the following problem. When I drive at 40+ mph, the car starts shaking violently. When ran with diagnostic/ testing the engine, it was found that Cylinder 2 keeps misfiring/ has a pressure issue, even after replacing the spark plugs and the fuel injector. Even after replacing those components, the cylinder misfire, lowered compression, and the shaking while driving all still persisted. They suggested fixing the issue with replacing the entire engine and avoiding driving until then, as driving it could potentially cause the engine to stop working while driving/ cause an accident. The dealership advised the engine issue would fall under the powertrain. It is available for review, as I have avoided driving it since, due to worries that the car will either stop working while I drive it, or the engine could result in an accident.

I was driving down the road at about 40 MPH when the transmission suddenly went out, posing a safety risk to not only myself, but other drivers on the road. It went out of gear, wouldn't go back in, and luckily enough, I was on a town road and not a highway. I had my vehicle towed and a transmission repair shop confirmed the entire transmission was completely blown out, which is ridiculous for a 5-year-old vehicle. Despite having over 150,000 miles, this still shouldn't be an issue. Besides the obvious safety risks, I'm now left with an over $5,000 repair bill.

Cylinder misfire #2 Is a permanent code.the first time I got it fixed the car just stopped with no warning I couldn't get it to start unless the driver door was open. The shop had it for am entire month and had a new head rebuilt 2 weeks later the light was back on. It would go off and on for the next year, we changed filters, plug, gasket. After I got it inspected last year when the light turned off for a day that was the last time it was off. I haven't been able to get it inspected yet it's over due. 2019 was 5 years ago I've never had these problems with any other vehicles that's 10+ older. They need to do something they know what's going on it happened it 2012 and they discontinued the vans in 2020. They need to make it right. The engine is not safe it randomly loosed acceleration or occasionally gains it. I'm afraid of crashing into someone or being stranded somewhere or it dying in the middle of the road. I need this vehicle I'm still paying for it and don't really have other options to for other transportation while this one gets into a shop

hard misfire and rough idle creating issues while in traffic, almost rear ended multiple times because of loss of acceleration. inspection by mechanic says misfire in cylinder 2 couldn't be fixed. (multiple coils and spark plug replacements) mechanice made contact with a GM certified mechanic who indicated this is a common problem in the 3.6 engine used in these vehicles. Issue is deep within engine and requires complete engine replacement. It was explained to me that the engine could keep going as-is, or debris could begin breaking off inside the engine and cause total loss at any time. researched and found similar issue with 2012 engines.

My engine light came on reading stated #2 misfire. I have had spark plugs, wires, coil boot intake gaskets replaced. Now #2 misfire is reading a permanent code. I need to know why this is not a recall on my van there are reports of thousands of Dodges having this happen and has become quite costly for me. I'm afraid to drive the vehicle because it could apparently cause my valves to crack and cost a large amount of money to repair I'm [XXX] very sickly, I also still make payments on the vehicle. the vehicle has a permanent cylinder 2 misfire. the misfire has at times produced an unexpected change in the vehicle's acceleration which could be dangerous in certain traffic conditions. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center who determined that the source of the misfire is either a mechanical component inside the engine or part of the valve train. I have been told that this issue could result in sudden engine lockup during operation.

Vehicle has been well maintained. It has 71, xxx miles. With no warning or indication of problems, we had complete transmission failure. It worked fine, we exited highway and it was noisy. Within 2 miles, the transmission was slipping (jerking van) and then totally went out (won't accelerate at all). Still no warning lights. Towed and repair center said complete transmission failure. Looking online, this has happened to multiple people in very similar fashion (no indication of issue to being undriveable within minutes). For a vehicle with 71, xxx miles and being 3 years old, this is terrible...still a substantial loan in place :(

While driving vehicle it began to made a horrible noise and then stalled in the middle of the road while driving. Was able to restart and move out of the way but stalled again. Car would no longer move into drive. No warning lights came on until after the car stalled for the second time. Then the check engine light came on. Previous to this occurrence the car was running perfectly fine and gave no warnings that the transmission was going out. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic where they stated the transmission blew. Upon finding this out vehicle was towed to a dodge dealership where we were informed warranty was expired. Vehicle only has 73,000 miles on it.
