problem #2

Oct 302004

Intrepid 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 199,000 miles
Electrical system problem wherein at startup vehicle either only clicks or starts with no gauges working for several minutes. When this occurs the vehicle will not accelerate to more than 30 mph. Dealer states that starter needs replacement, but vehicle has been intermittent with this problem for longer than a starter on the brink would last. Apparent electrical problem that computer diagnostic does not confirm. Only code involves the at module not providing signal. All such components are controlled by the PCM (power control module). Please investigate.
