Intrepid

  • Automatic transmission

I own a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7 liter V6 engine. The car had been well maintained with routine oil changes. With no warning the engine blew at 63,000 miles. We contacted Dodge, and were told it was not covered and that our warranty had expired. We now cannot find a motor to fit this car in order to repair it and are stuck paying for something that does not run. It is a financial strain and Dodge will not offer us any help or solutions after several contacts. I bought a Dodge product in good faith - no car that was treated as well as mine should have a blown engine at 63,000 miles. I believe it was defective.
