The contact owns a 1999 Dodge Intrepid. While driving 25mph, the engine shut off. The dealer diagnosed the failure and changed the oil pan, gasket, belt, alternator and filter. On May 3, 2007, the engine shut off again. Two sensors were replaced and the cost of the repairs were $1900. On May 4, 2007, the engine shut off. The vehicle was towed and the dealer stated that the engine needed to be replaced. The dealer also stated that the cost was $7000 and the water pump caused the engine to fail. The failure and current mileage were 96,800. The dealer stated the vehicle needed rear shocks and the shocks were repaired at time of service. The consumer provided the repair invoice for vehicle. The ater pump failed which caused damage to the engine. Updated 06/13/07
