Intrepid 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 102,000 miles

The dealership took a week and tried to charge me $1,000 dollars for tests and told me to junk the car. I ended up arguing until they dropped test fees to $380. I then took car to private mechnic who fixed timing chain for $600. Thankfully the engine was still ok after chain was replaced.

Ok so im a senior in high school and got so excited to be able to buy my first car...well unfortunately i chose a 2000 Dodge Intrepid...it totally gave my hopes up...it ran for about 6 months maybe..then one day was driving to my best friends house and it just quit running AT A STOP SIGN!!!! and i just rolled right thru the stop sign...luckily noone was coming...i took it to the mechanic and they told me it needed a water pump and a timing chain kit...for a total of $1200.00...its still in my yard not running...i only have one car payment left on it then it'll be paid off....im trien to decide if i should get it fixed and keep it or get it fixed and trade the P.O.S. in??? it really disappointed me :( ohh!! i went to talk to the dealership that sold it to me probably knowing that it was going to go out on me and they said "there's nothing they can do...ohwell"...UGH!!! never again..!!
