This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
One year later now, the dumb ass a/c is not working again. I wonder what they'll say this time after they fixed and charged it just one year ago under warranty.

It is 'good' when you can call your dealer
and say: 'That AC line that gives out on the Chrysler Intrepids, how much does it cost?' and they can give you the price right away without looking it up - You know you are not alone.
The corrosion and leakage of refrigerant could have been prevented by coating the AC line with anything to prevent corrosion. Road salt and sand collects under the retaining clamp on the passenger side.
On the Up; the parts guys at the Garage were really helpful.

The first time the dealer told me that the compressor cracked because I failed to charge the a/c even though I had just bought the car in the winter. When spring came around (when I actually needed it) I realized the problem. Thankfully it was covered under warranty.
