This car is a pain in the ass. I have had nothing but problems with this thing. I have replaced the water pump, timing belt, reservoir, radiator cap, and the head gaskets. I have had the heads shaved. the heater hose broke and made it run hot again. I don't know what else to do. I have already spent 1500 dollars on this thing and now i can drive it to the mailbox and back and it runs hot. I'm a mom of six with only one income and it seems like everything i have goes into keeping this car running. and I don't have it any more and no down payment for another one. I hate this car.

Intrepid SE 2.7L

I purchased a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE used less than 2 weeks ago with no warranty. After a few days, the car stuck in second gear whenever I tried to drive it. After having that issue fixed, I had to purchase a cam shaft sensor, coil pack, rack and pinion and an A/C belt. Only a couple days after getting the car out of the shop for a second time in less than a week after I bought it, it ran hot on the side of the road. It was making a boiling sound coming from the engine, after I shut it off and I could see antifreeze leaking/bubbling out of the reservoir. I had it towed and a new thermostat was put in the car. At that time (third time it's been in the shop since I bought it less than 2 weeks ago), I found out the number 3 piston is not firing, and more than likely, the car has a cracked head or cracked head gasket which I cannot afford to pay to have fixed. I even properly bled the radiator of air, according to Dodge specs but the car still runs hot everytime I drive it. It's somehow leaking coolant, which is not visible underneath the car when it's parked, however I have to add water/coolant everyday before driving because the reservoir is completely empty every morning. To get back and forth to work I fill it to the safe line before I leave home, and drive with 2 jugs of water in the car just in case it starts to overheat while I'm enroute. In the meantime, I am stuck with a headache!

this car is a piece of junk, i am so tired of piping money into this crappy car, and everytime you fix something, you have to pay because something else went bad
