Intrepid 3.5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 143,000 miles

Car wont start till after several attempts when its cold. Also it hesitates after 2500 RPM's. Don't know whats wrong but took it to several 10's of mechanics, including the dealer and no one knows whats wrong. Doesn't have crank and cam sensor codes going off through engine light but changed both of them and no help.

Intrepid ES 3.2L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,000 miles

The problem couldn't be detected by a diagnostic machine until it actually happened at the shop. I would have to crank it 5/6 times before it would start. This would happen 1/2 times a day and never when I could actually have it towed. Finally it happened when the car was sitting at home, I cranked it once and called the tow truck. Thank God I took an extended warranty out on it, since I only had it for 11 months, bought it used, and barley put 5K miles on it in 11 months.
