When coming to a stop the car clunks and then when I start to go it will not shift up. I have to pull over and restart the car to get it to go away!!! Until the next stop! Does anyone have any idea??????

Dodge Interpid are the WORST CARS ever better yet ALL DODGES. Why can't Consumer Affairs do something about them make them recall these cars back. We have actually put more money into the car that the dealer made in commission. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US. WE ARE JUST CITIZENS TRYING TO GET FROM POINT A TO B. BUT GOT TRAPPED WITH A INTERPID THAT WE SHOULD HAVE DODGE. ONCE THE CAR WARMS UP IT JUST CONSTANTLY GET STUCKS IN 2ND. I CAN BE SLOWING DOWN TO TURN, STOP, OR WHATEVER, BUT B/C OF THAT STUPID ASS CAR ALMOST GOT IN A WRECK. HOW CAN WE DODGE THIS PAIN IN THE REAR END WITH $$$ WE ALREADY LOST.

Trany is slipping on this thing and I fortunately know someone who is a mechanic. I have just bought a new house and am on the market for a new truck, guess what I'm not looking at?!?!?! Dodge can get bent, if this is the best the American Auto industry can do for the people of America when it comes to cars, then the faster they go under and are sold a piece at a time the better off all Americans will be!! The Admin. at Dodge/Chrysler is obviously drunk behind the wheel cause I will never go near another Dodge for the rest of my life this car is nothing but a Headache from the time we pulled it off the lot!! First new car Ive ever owned!! That will never happen again!!

my tranny started slipping, took to shop, bad solenoid.
I have only had this car 7 months and i have had to fix problem after problem. i bought it used, that was probably my first mistake. First, the engine light kept coming on, turns out it was the spark plugs that needed replacing. Second, my heater core is going out. Third, transmission started slipping last week. I was told it was just the solenoid that would cost me 630 dollars, 300 just for the part. Must be labor intense if they are charging that much for labor. Also had problems getting my thermostat to work when i got my car winterized! What else could go wrong????

This issue arose twice, very annoying; thankfully the Dealership dealt with the issues and corrected the problem

My transmission is slipping; every time I press the brake to stop; you can feel it slip and then it will not shift into the next gear. I have to pull over and kill the car and restart it, it will drive fine then again until I have to hit the brakes.
