I HAVE A 2009 JOURNEY THE PAINT IS NOW ALMOST ALL WORN OFF THE DRIVERS MIRROR AND I HAVE LITTLE PIN SPOTS ALL OVER THE CAR AND WHEN YOU LOOK AT MY CAR IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE 2-3 DIFFERENT KINDS OF PAINT.

Journey SXT 3.6L

passenger side mirror paint is chipping off. Told the dealer about it and he stated yeah we know the journeys are a piece of junk and someone must have gotten lazy when they painted the car at the factory. Yet it isn't covered under warranty... Hmm sound to me like a few people at the dodge plant need to be fired because i see a whole bunch of 09 journeys on the road and they all have paint chipping off on the passenger mirror!

it seems no matter what touches the car it chips, I think they must have only put one coat of paint on the car. Lousy paint job

Feb 012010

Journey SXT V6

  • Automatic transmission

We purchased our vehicle in August 2009. In February 2010 paint started wearing off near wheel wells (bottom of back door). They say its true its a design flaw the way it contours out and catches all the shale. But forget about Dodge taking care of the problem. They said its our fault. We didn't pay to have chip guard put on our vehicle. Are you kidding me? What do they do use finger paints and expect you to protect it. Shouldn't a NEW vehicle have good paint on it. Shouldn't it be protected? For the sticker price, you would think they could throw that in. We bought new so we wouldn't have these problems. Well to mix even a little of this inferno red paint we have its thousands. Paint is chipped everywhere. Even in places that it should never be. At least not for many years. Bottom of a new vehicle is rusting already. Will probably be rusted clean through by end of this winter with the salt and all. Glad I am making my $500 a month payments on this piece of crap.
