Journey SXT 3.5L 6 Cyclinder

Just will be driving along and it will lose power. Not sure of the cause and too many other problems with it to have it looked at.

Journey SXT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 126,760 miles

So I was clipping along about 120 km/h on the interstate, when suddenly, without any warning, everything turned off--everything! Engine, lights, entire dashboard lighting system. I had to pull over. Luckily still had brakes and steering. Slid the SUV into neutral before it stopped, and then restarted it. I was on my way again, no mishaps fortunately, because I was on a divided highway when it happened.

Journey SXT 6

In 2008 when the market was crashing, I was investing money in buying GM stock. I wanted to invest to the future of the American automobile industry. I believe that if we are to turn this economy around it start with (US Investing in US). So I buy $500 dollar in GM stock before it received the bail out money from the government. To make a long story short I lost ever dime of it as I watch my investment go down to $0.

So on 2/21/2011 when it was time for me to purchase a new car for my family, i have 2 boys one 6 and the other one 11. I needed something reliable to get the boys to and from football practice. So i decide to purchase a DODGE JOURNEY SXT 2009 V6 with 12,330 miles on it. I paid $20,981. and spent another $1,424 on a extended warranty, which means the car is covered under warranty until 80,000 miles. On 10/28/2011, why i am driving I start to lose power and the car is putting up the street at 20 MPH. I get the car towed to the dealer where i purchased it from. A week later the dealer shop calls me and tells me that the car has a (HOLE IN THE POWERTRAIN UNIT). And that the dealer warranty would not cover the part because the car has 1 new tire and 3 used tires on the car. They clam that in the owners manual on (page 316 section 5) it states clearly that having different tire size on the car can cause damage to the Power Transfer Unit. Therefore the dealer will not cover the repair under warranty and it will cost me $4000 to repair the car. The only problem that i have with that, is that the car has all the same size tires on the car. All the same size tire and tire type, one is just a new tire and the other 3 tires are the tires that I brought the car with. I had one tire that was damaged and I had to replace it and its my fault for not replacing all 4 tires at the same time. The jokes on me, this is the thanks i get for buying an AMERICAN CAR for my family.
