The 2009 Journey was put in service June 20, 2009 at approx 9 PM. After 30 days of trying to drive this monster, took it back to the dealer on July 20, 2009 to have the alignment/wheel balance checked since the vibration in the front tires was so bad, it was hard to handle. Dealer "cross rotated" tires and problem solved ? Now, car has 15,500 miles, tires are wearing badly, took back to dealer for oil change and other warranty repair and discovered a TSB regarding brakes and rotors which were replaced under warranty. Service tech also rotated tires...ooooops, now the shimmy and shake is back at speeds over 50 mph and dealer says it's the tires. Claims we don't drive the car enough and the tires are probably "flat spotted". Good grief, I didn't spin out at Daytona! Have a 96 Saturn with 187K miles and an 02 F-150 with 135K miles and have NEVER had a problem with tires or alignment on either, so why is the dealer pushing for 4 wheel alignment? Had a lot of cars and tires over the years and never had the problems this Dodge is having. Next call is Chrysler corporate and see what kind of BS line I get from them.

Only 2-3 weeks after being in the dealership for an oil change and "supposedly" a 15 point inspection where they are "supposed" to check the tires, I was several hours from home when the low tire light came on. When I looked at my tires to see what the problem was, I noticed that the two rear tires were so worn down that the metal was showing through on both tires. I couldn't believe it considering I only had 30,000 miles on the tires AND the dealership NEVER mentioned a single word to me about me tires when I was in 2 weeks ago. When I went to purchase the new tires, it was IMPOSSIBLE to find the tire I needed in stock anywhere!!!! NOT TO MENTION EACH TIRE WAS CLOSE TO $400. Not only were they not available without ordering them and they cost $400 a piece, Only 1 company made them so I couldn't even choose to buy a less expensive tire if I wanted to. So here I was several hours from home with two tires having the metal showing through and no way to buy tires. When taking it to the dealership, I was told that it needed a rear alignment...but of course this was not covered under warranty even though I only had 30,000 miles on them. I had a KIA for 5+ years with a 100,000 miles on it and only changed my tires 1 time (at 50 or 60 thousand miles). As soon as I can, I am trading this heap of junk Journey in for another KIA.

Well another problem I have found with my "NEW" vehicle is that Dodge puts less than average tires on their "New" cars. So after having just 26500 miles I was told I needed to replace my tires......when I called Dodge they advised me to contact the maker and I should get a mileage reimbursement form and get some form of compensation....well after calling kuhmo they advised me the tires on the "new" dodge cars only come with a 20/30 thousand mile warranty and they have only been lasting to around 20000 so I should consider myself lucky I got 26500!!!!! Kuhmo also advise me Dodge should have disclosed this to me when they sold me the vehicle(which they didn't). So needless to say my only option was to get new tires (which I was told I could only get them from Kuhmo) and it cost 900.00 for 4 new tires. Well folks I have learned the hard way.....you dont have to order them through Kuhmo and quite frankly I should have done what I was advise to do by tire place( after I already had need tires) and thats buy new wheels and tires....it would have been alot cheaper!!! So I don't know about anyone else but after spending 34000 on a new vehicle I am NOT happy about having to put over a thousand into my "New" car within the first 13 months of owning it!!!
