I am sending via U.S. mail a copy of letter and service department record for problem with cruise control on my a 2010 Dodge Journey that I purchased three months ago. At this time according to the dealer there is "no fix" for this problem and I am concerned that the malfunction could lead to injury to myself or others. A detailed letter is in the mail and should arrive at your facility later this week. There was a problem with the cruise control while driving down an incline. The transmission would downshift and the engine revved with the RPM's rising to 2500-4000 and would probably go higher if the consumer did not disengage the cruise control and step on the brake to get the RPM's down and the engine under control. The vehicle sounded as though it was in neutral. The consumer was advised to not use the cruise control on hilly areas. Updated 04/12/10.
