The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. While driving various speeds, the air bag indicator illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. The contact called taylor Chrysler Dodge Jeep at 573-364-1233 (located at 705 S bishop ave, rolla, mo 65401) to inquire about the cost of the replacement clockspring. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
