Journey

  • Automatic transmission
  • 27,957 miles

This is a 2010 Dodge Journey purchased new. It now has 28,030 miles on it.

On 9/10/2011 I had both front and back brakes replaced

On 7/24/2013 I had the Water Pump replaced

On 9/10/2013 I had the TENSIONER replaced

On 1/31/2014 I had all 4 tires replaced.

To me this is screaming lemon and should be taken back. The warranty is up in 2015 and I was so looking forward to paying it off and not having a car payment but it looks as though I would only have continued car repairs so will be looking to replaced this car this summer. You can bet it WILL NOT be a DODGE. Enough is enough. Is it too much to ask for a reliable car?

Journey RT AWD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,000 miles

I bought my Journey in 2011...with about 10,000 miles on it. I liked the convenience of a mini van with out losing my cool factor but....the tires are horrible! I am on my 3rd set of Kumo tires and I have put 34, 000 miles on it! I found new tires that will fit and last a lot longer than the P.O.S Kumos.... www.tirerack.com has Goodyears size 235 55 19 's for $159.00.... I just bought them so we will see if they last longer fingers crossed!!!!!

Journey SXT 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,000 miles

I believe that the tire manufacturer (Kuhmo) and the (Dodge/Chrysler Dealer) are in bed together because they only make one replacement tire (P225/65/R19) for that vehicle that no one carries, except for the dealership at the cost of $245.00 per tire plus labor and tax. It's absolutely ridiculous that the dealership where I bought my vehicle neglected to tell me that I would have problems purchasing tires when the time comes. I'm also surprised that no one has filed a lawsuit yet against either party. It's totally misleading the public and the price shock when your tires only last 13,000 miles due to the vehicle being AWD. I love my Journey SXT AWD. It's a very comfortable riding vehicle and fit's 7 passengers. I don't like the tire issues and the replacement costs. I feel that Dodge could have done a better job in choosing a tire that lasts at least 40,000 miles instead of 13,000 miles. So far I have 29,890 miles on it and this is going to be my 3rd set of tires for this vehicle if I don't trade it in first. I'm ready to get a new SUV that dosen't come with 19inch wheels due to this last experience.

Journey SXT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

I got a flat this summer and my car was out of commission for 2 whole weeks because I could not find a tire. I called almost every tire dealership in Montana and could not find a size 19 tire. Finally, a tire shop in Great Falls, MT. was able to order 1 but it took 2 weeks for it to come in and I had to drive over 200 miles away from where I live to pick it up!!! This was very inconvenient for me and frustrating!!! I do not recommend anyone to purchase a Dodge Journey!!! They suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Journey SXT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

I am in desperate need of new tires on my Dodge Journey. I have been on the order list for size 19 tires with a local tire shop for almost 2 months now!!!! My tires on the front of my car are bald and hazardous to drive on but I have no choice because I can not find any freakin tires for this piece of crap!!!!! On top of that I am driving in an unsafe vehicle with my 3 children whos ages range from 8-5 years old AND I am 7 months pregnant!!! I can not afford to be stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire because I am unable to find any tires!!!! AND the tires cost $230.00 each!!!! Please do not let anyone you know purchase a Dodge Journey...they suck!!!!! On top of that I'm trying to get out of this vehicle because of this problem and no bank will work with me because I've only had this vehicle for a year and a half. I can't even get out of this piece of crap. I'm very, VERY dissatisfied with this vehicle!!!!!!!

Journey SXT AWD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 14,900 miles

I bought a new 2010 Journey SXT AWD in June 2010. In November I got a nail in the tire. I have not been able to find tires for this car. The dealership doesn't have them and no tire place can find them. I've looked online and everyone is out of them. Plus, because it's AWD, I have to replace all four tires otherwise it will lockup the transmission. I called Dodge today and was informed that it's not their problem, but Kumho's problem because they are the tire manufacturer. I find it very frustrating that in 2010 Dodge changed the size of the tire so that they are only available through one manufacturer. Not to mention the fact that the tires are over $200 each, so it's going to cost more than $1000 every time I have a flat tire. Very frustrated about this. I'm thinking of looking for a new car!
