Continued brake squealing
No issue found, told the brakes hadn't broken in yet

I purchased my new Dodge Journey on 12/26/2011. Before my first oil change in Feb. my brakes were squeaking. I only had 4500 miles on it. I reported it to the service rep. I was informed that the problem had been reported prior by other owners and that the brakes squeaked due to humidity. Now, I live in Houston ,TX where it is always humid, so much so that you can cut it with a knife. I have owned Chrysler vehicles before and did not have any problems with the brakes. I returned again to the service dept. and reported that my brakes were still squeaking. The tech. rode with me and of course they would not squeak for him. He gave me a song and dance as to what the problem might be such as the brakes that Dodge use for this vehicle might take time to adjust. Also there might be some debri on the brakes that is causing the problem. Give me a break! No, give me new brakes.
Update from May 4, 2012: Returned to the dealer on 5/3/12 due to the brake issue. They shimmed the brakes, now awaiting to see if that corrects the problem.

What really annoyed me was that according to the workshop manager it was normal.
