My car issue: I can't drive past 40 mph. When speed increases, the RPM and car temperature increases. I took my car in for an oil change and asked the service tech to test drive my car because it's stalling while driving from a day ago. He stated that there maybe an internal issue covered by powertrain warranty. The next available appointment to look at my car was after February 17, 2015. I dropped my car off for a diagnostic test to learn that the tipm melted and that he has never seen that happen before. After learning the cost of the repair, we did research on the part to learn that it should be under recall but Chrysler has been fighting consumers on fixing the problem. My boyfriend look in the fuse box to learn that the tipm did not melt but a $3.50 relay part did melt. So he drove to three different locations looking for this part. Two of the three locations called the dealership that I went to for an oil change and diagnostic test were very rude and hung up on 3 phone calls (2 hang up calls for O'reilly's and 1 hang up call for a neighboring dealership).

Several times over the past 2 years the touch screen computer system has shut down and rebooted while driving, twice while driving on residential streets at 25 mph and at least once on the highway. Additionally the cruise control has only intermittently worked. I have taken it to two different dealers more than five times to have it checked, every time they update the software, and change either the cruise control module or the clock spring. Nothing has fixed this problem. Dealer has stated they will contact Chrysler but no information is passed back to me - if they even called, probably said it to get me to leave.

My wife was driving the car, when suddenly the gas pedal broke off at the base. The car lost all acceleration. Luckily, no one was behind her and she was able to glide of the rode.

I was driving on the highway at 60mph, I went to pass a car and pressed the accelerator pedal and the plastic pedal broke off just after the pivot point. I had to cross 3 lanes of traffic that were traveling at highway speeds (65-75), all while my speed was rapidly decreasing, to get to the shoulder of the road.
