The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the rear driver's side and middle seat belts failed to unlock and release. The seat belts had to be cut to release the occupants. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (4101 S Tacoma way, Tacoma, wa 98409, (253) 475-7300) where it was diagnosed that the seat belts needed to be replaced. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken to john L sullivan Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (950 harter pkwy, yuba city, ca 95993, (530) 742-6406), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that diagnostic testing was needed. The contact was referred to a local dealer. Additionally, a specialist would be sent to review the failure. The failure mileage was 71,000.

Seat side panel coming off after plastic tabs broke, seat belt is attached to this part and the damage gets worse every time I get in the car, since the panel is where a person would get in the car and the panel is only held on by 2 small plastic tabs that are not meant for holding a persons weight.
