problem #1

Journey Crew (awd) 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission

We were driving on Interstate 80 in Nebraska at 75mph when our Dodge Journey suddenly shifted itself into low gear. Of course, the tach maxed out and the car slowed rapidly from 75mph to 50mph. If another vehicle had been close behind us we would have had a crash. Also, we are in winter now and if the highway had been slick I am sure we would have spun out of control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dealer took the car in and said it tested OK but when test driven the problem repeated so repairs were made. However, when test driven again the car still had a problem and more work had to be done to it. All of this was under warranty which we appreciate. However, I don't trust the car anymore and I want to know what you think I should do about it.

Thanks, Dave Jenny
