I bought Journey February 2013. It was working all fine until 2017, when we came back from 5 days family trip. I came back with full load of luggage and found my car not starting. Luckily, I was able to get hold of my friend to jump start my car. I then started to realized that I have to jump start the car if I don't drive for 4-5 days. Eventually it became 1-2 days, and finally ended up no start overnight.
I initially thought this was battery failure, and swapped battery. It did start for few days, but start to see same issues after a while. I had the battery swapped again but did not solve the problem. Then we brought this to dealer. They told us the car does not have any problem, charged us $160 for the cost to check. It did work for few weeks, but starting to see issues again if I leave the car parked 4-5 days.
Now I am debating if I should bring this back to dealer again expecting to be told "no issue" and being charged another $160. I would believe this is related to TIPM issue, but I see many people saying FCA discontinued this part....

For over two years my 2013 Dodge Journey has had issues with starting, I have replaced the battery, finally the check engine light and many other have displayed, the key fob was not recognized and car was dead in the driveway. Called mechanic - it was originally diagnosed as alternator issues, needed to be replaced. Sent the car off for repair, that was exactly two months ago. In the meantime called my Dodge Dealer, and Dodge North America, just checking to see if there was any recalls, or reported issues with his year and model. According to Dodge, no problems. Mechanic texts me... Alternator replaced, however the complete charging system burnt up, and ECM issues.
Two months, no car, no repairs in site, and no final cost... Oh boy, are we having fun. The car died when I pulled in the driveway, at least not in the middle of the road, where I would have no emergency flashers and no way to pull off the road. What are my Options? I can't afford new car, and I need a car.
