Vehicle will not start. Took to dealership and they charged battery. After repairing some recommendations I got the car back and it wouldn-€™t start. Same issue as before, I took it back and they said it was dead battery. I paid for a new battery and drove it home. Next day it would not start. I-€™ve been reading some reader boards and I-€™m told it has to do with wiring to the transmission. It gets cold in Alaska and my daughter and granddaughter can-€™t be stranded in inclement weather. Tested the starter and the alternator and both are good. New battery and new key fob battery and still a no go. Dodge needs to figure this out, as their certified mechanics can-€™t seem to diagnose the issue.

My rear windshield wiper died on my 2013 Dodge Journey over a year ago, I was told by Dodge that I needed a new motor, so I purchased one on my own, and it didn't work. So I researched this issue to find out that, it was a wiring harness that was cut from rear door opening and closing I found out that there are a lot of people that has the same issue this issue showed exposed wiring. Every time witch could. Thus the 4th time win thin a 2 year period that my 2013 Dodge Journey let me sit. Time 1&2 battery need to be replaced, a costly bill. 3rd time the fuse blew. All 3 times my cars check engine light came on & a weeks let me sit. As of Jan. 8, again my car leaving me, engine light came on & a weeks later left me sit. Not sure what to do at this point, I'm unemployed & have a car payment, I can't afford a costly repair. This seems to be a general problem with the Journeys, why on earth aren't you recalling them. I know that it would be costly, but at least you might have happy customers. I'm thinking of surrendering the vehicle due to this continuous no start problem. My next step is to file a complaint with Chrysler capital.

My headrest on my driver seat just busted out while I was driving on I10 and hit me in the back of my head. It hit me so hard I swerved left to right like 3 4 times, I literally had to pull over and get out to see wat that was, I thought something came thru the back of my window, it knocked me dizzy for a few minutes, I had to sit and wait, I thought I was going to go out, I had to close my eyes and debilitate, the most scariest thing ever, my neck and back hurt.

I have had problem with Dodge Journey not starting. I've spent money on emergency road service jump starts, along with new battery, but problem persists and the service garage can't get it to consistently start as all cars should! winter has come early and I fear being stranded in freezing temperatures. Also big inconvenience. I've driven for over 40 years and feel I bot and paid for a reliable car, but have not gotten what I paid for. Dodge has my money and I have their junk. I hope my little grandchildren are not with me when the car won't start! so far the problem has occurred when I leaving home. I can't seem to get answers from the service garage without pouring more money into it and still no resolution!

My Journey keeps stalling on me especially when stopped (red lights, stop signs, in traffic etc.) at one point it even stalled out on me while driving and I couldn't move the steering wheel, brakes, nothing! it completely locked up. I was lucky that that time I was in my neighborhood otherwise I would have gotten in a car accident. At first the fuel cap light kept coming on, Dodge dealer told us to just have the cap replaced (we did) but the light keeps coming on and off still and not resolving any problems. Then a red lightening bolt came on a couple times and that's when my car would shut off at a stop and try restarting on its own. Now at the moment no lights are on and it's still stalling. And every time is stalls it's always in drive and will completely turn off. It has stalled in parked a few times also but majority of the time is when stopped in drive. This is very very dangerous. I have 3 kids who are always with me. I can't imagine if something happened because of this. I've done my research and noticed there are many many people having the same exact issue. Dodge needs to recall the vehicle quickly before they run into a lawsuit.

Passenger front seat headrest driving down the road the headrest shot open striking my wife in the back of the head for no apparent reason. I have read other issues other people have experienced same problem. This is dangerous and needs to be addressed before a accident happens and someone gets killed. I think Dodge should be recalling these vehicles for these issues.

The active headrest has failed. I initially thought it was deployed, but after attempting to reset the unit, I noticed the silver pin that was designed to hold the headrest in position was loose. The small pieces of plastic that held this in place have completely broken loose, thus deploying the headrest. Closing this back into position is now impossible. I considered ordering a replacement part, but why should I buy something that is likely to fail" I called the dealer to see what they would charge to fix this for me, after being quoted $192 in labor, I decided that they would not be helping me with this. I'm glad this did not slap me in the back of the head while I was driving. This could very well knock a driver unconscious, or cause him or her to lose control of the vehicle. It is my opinion this needs to be examined before someone is killed, or do we have to wait for that to happen before a recall is issued" my vehicle was stationary. I found the headrest open when I opened the door to go to work. I would be more than happy to discuss this further. I can get photos of the broken headrest, I'm at work at the moment, but I can take pictures tonight and upload tomorrow if need be. Thank you for your time. For over 2 years I've tried various things to get my reverse lights to work. Checked fuses, checked the bulbs. One day my reverse lights stopped working, my hatch stopped locking and unlocking while all other doors complied. And some of my brake lights stopped working. After vigorously youtubing, I found a video on changing the liftgate wiring. Where I found my issue. This is a serious fire hazard!! when I removed the wiring harness, 4 of my wires looked as though they had been cut. No wonder things weren't working.. after using electrical connectors and electrical tape my reverse lights are now fixed. However, knowing I could've died in a car fire just doesn't sit well for me and my children.
