This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
They were informed of problem just after a year of ownership. They informed me it was normal wear. Now just before 3 year warranty ends they tell me it is not covered.
- Barry W.,
I purchased the car in July and noticed a slight vibration with braking, but not significant to worry. It got worse and my husband thought there was probably something wrong with my brakes. I dismissed it as normal for my car since I don't drive much. Now it is shaking violently when I brake. This is unacceptable for a car with now only 36,000 miles. I worry that it is unsafe for my kids, but the cost to repair is estimated well over $600 and they also say the brake pads are bad as well. I haven't even had the car for a full year and now I have to get brakes.

In the snow, feels like you have no control! Driving techniques mean sh*t. Almost like it's rear wheel drive. I'm 53 yrs of age, grew up in Detroit, MI. Never ever had trouble driving in severe winter weather such as snow and sleet! found myself getting stuck, not once but three friggn times in my parent's driveway!!!!!! Couldn't work the rocking technique worth a crap!!!!
Brakes suck big time!!!! Even in the rain sometimes brakes would lockup and flutter and put the car in a F'ed up skid....NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! So I had to replace the pads & rotors (spent a mini fortune) only to find out, well after the fact, that there's a so-called SAFETY RECALL on my Journey, and of course well after the fact. Thank god nothing major happened/accident since i just had my first grandson four months ago where I've been driving with him on board. To imagine what could of happened makes me very, very angry, yet thankful at the same time.

I've only had this 2014 Dodge Journey for a little over three months and after driving it the second day, I noticed that something was not right with this vehicle. So, I called the dealership to inform them of the problem that I was experiencing with the brakes or rotors on the vehicle. I was told to bring the vehicle into the services department which I did.
A service worker rode with me to see if he could hear what was going on with the brakes or rotors, but he stated that he did not hear anything that could be wrong, so I left and was not satisfied with what the service worker told me. So I called back the following week to speak with the service manager and he told me to bring the car back so that he could drive the vehicle to see if he could hear what I was talking about, which he did. We went back to the service department and he had the vehicle checked out to find out that the rotors were no good. He ordered the rotors and I had to take the vehicle back up there in about a week to get the rotors replaced.
After about driving the vehicle for about two months, I started experiencing the same problem as well as pieces breaking from the driver seat. Replaced the brakes this time as well as the rotors, but not the parts for the seat because the parts had not come in as of yesterday, October 10, 2014. I have spoken with the General Manager at the dealership as well as someone from the manufacturer company and they both are somewhat telling me the same thing, (I cannot get out of thus vehicle nor would they buy me out. All of this has happened only after having this vehicle for a little over two and a half months. Can anyone tell me what to do next? Thanks in advance!
