Hello my name is [xxx] and I a single mother of two small children. I have been the owner of a Dodge Journey for a little over a year and I have already received two recalls on my vehicle. With these risks come serious consequences and I do not feel safe driving my children in this vehicle. I have contacted the dealership and they told me they are unable to provide me with a loaner vehicle. At this time I am highly upset because basically I have to play russian roulette with mine and my children's live every time I drive my only mode of transportation. I do not think it is appropriate for a company to knowingly allow anyone especially children to drive around in a defective vehicle that can at any given moment cause serious injury or even death without providing an alternative until the problem can be fixed. I am very upset and am considering looking into getting a lawyer to defend my rights as a consumer. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Taking exit off us 12 onto I-82 (yakima) my vehicle suffered complete engine failure. The brakes did not work and had to rely on the emergency brake, stopping about 100 feet away and nose in traffic. My family to include my 39 weeks pregnant wife, sons (3 & 4), and myself were in the car. During my five emergency brake attempts I hit my head on the frame of the door. I feel that we are lucky to be alive as we had skid a few times before stopping with no further injuries. As of now, I have a splitting headache and my wife is being monitored for signs of fetal distress; all around [xxx] experience. The Dodge dealership that I purchased it from refused to lend me a loaner vehicle, said that it happens, and offered to look at it in two weeks; bs! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The first day drove this brand new Dodge Journey to work. And came back with the hood released. The only thing it could happen was I accidentally touch the hood release handle when I apply/release the parking brake, because they are too closed. It is a really bad design.

Have had the hood release next ot the parking brake pedal. Open the hood without notification.the brake pedal is to close in proximity to the hood latch. Each time you release the parking brake the hood releases.

I was driving with my girlfriend. We just got over the top of a hill and going down hill at about 35 to 40 mph. The vehicle shut off. No power steering and no brakes. Stopped 5 feet from a telephone pole. Vehicle was towed to liccardi Dodge. They did not find anything wrong with the car. We were shaken up from the incident and I traded the vehicle in fearing for my life. I had only made one payment on the car so I had $16,000 of inequity. I traded it in on 9/29/14 not taking chances. I now have a huge debt on the new car because of this and huge payments. Very disappointed. Had the vehicle for 2 months.

Air bags failed to deploy when vehicle had front impact with ditch embankment after leaving road across ditch and the anti-lock brakes caused the brakes to engage and unengaged causing the wreck. When checked it was told that nothing wrong with either part.
