This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
Engine was replaced but 2 weeks later engine fell. Engine mounts broke. More damage was done to exhaust and broke axle.

This was a known flaw in the engine design. No recall though. After an Oil change in November, our Engine Light came on as we drove away. Took it back and they checked the gas cap and a few other things. Things seemed okay but within a week the Engine light was back on and stayed on. Our warranty ended on November 28, 2018. Took our car back in on November 30, 2018 for the Engine Light On issue. After analysis, it was the valve and cylinder issue was discovered. We were told it was a "Known Flaw" in the engine design for that year engine, 2014. Instead of issuing a Recall to fix the problem, the owner had to pay for the fix "if and when" the flawed design became a problem.
My issue is; If there is as flaw, known flaw, that the manufacturer knows of and has redesigned a "FIX" for then the manufacturer should either issue a "Recall" for the problem or offer a replacement, discount or deal when the owner has to come in and have it fixed. I should not have to turn out my pockets to fix Dodge's mistake.

Brand new car still under warranty. Oil changes every 3K - 5K miles. Check engine light comes on often. Possibly the gas cap but on this occasion gas has not been purchased for 447 miles.
Update from Aug 3, 2015: Went to Autozone and got the free diagnostic computer test. Code PO441 which can be any range of things. Needless to say I did not have a chance to do anything because the light mysteriously went off. This is so frustrating because the B2B warranty is 36K miles and I don't know if there is a problem that could be covered right now.
Update from Dec 23, 2015: 36,289 miles and officially past the 3 yr/36K warranty. Of course CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON!!!! Have not gotten gas in over 3 days, normal driving conditions. No explanation.

Started driving, went 100 miles to a meeting. When I left the meeting the check engine light came on and has not gone off as of yet. It was not flashing just a solid light. I was about home and then the ABS light also came on.

3 different times now service engine light with thermostat code. 3. Different dealers and still not resolved. Brand new car with 4300 miles and have spent more time at dealer than driving

At 560 miles with this just coming off the truck, I watched them peel off the protective coating. And already there is a software upgrade. And most they could say is 9 times out of 10 this is the fix, if not bring it back.
Great and what if this isn't the fix, I have a car with 560 miles on it that has already had a check engine light on. Makes a person a little weary of hoping this isn't something else and it doesn't die on the road somewhere.

Engine light goes on. Shaking steering wheel when idling. Diagnosed by 2 Midas shops pointing to cylinder #3 misfiring. Had new spark plugs on.
Midas replaced ALL 6 injectors, checked wirings and installed new oil filter housing. The problem remained after spending CAD 2600.00. Brought it to Chrysler dealer. They performed same tests. Did a compression test. They removed valve cover for closer inspection. Inspected camshaft, rocker arms and lifters. No fault was found. They suggested getting rebuilt engine. Paid them CAD1200.00 - the total so far $3800. Still stuck with same problem.
I bought a 5 year extended warranty when I bought vehicle brand new in 2014. It seems that this cylinder misfire is a predominant problem with this Pentastar 3.6L engine. Chrysler should extend this warranty for this issue with this engine. When I give my VIN # to the dealer they say it is not covered even though I am well below the 10 years / 240,000 km (which ever comes first) that they extended the warranty for. My 2014 vehicle is 8 years old / 170,000 km.
So I spent so far $3800 and I still end up with the same problem I had before I brought it in.
