The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the "Service Engine" warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that cylinder #6 had experienced a misfire. Additionally, the engine had experienced low compression and cylinder head damage. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 85,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was overheating. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the thermostat was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated and the transmission slipped, almost causing the contact to crash into another vehicle. The contact engaged the parking brake and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was then towed to a transmission specialist where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the thermostat housing and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the engine oil and the radiator hose were replaced; however, the vehicle stalled while driving and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where the engine and oil pan gasket were replaced; however the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle was shuddering significantly while driving and stalled. The vehicle restarted after several attempts. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
