Journey SXT 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

From the beginning at around 3,000-6,000 miles, you could smell very strong raw gas odors. I went to the Dealership, and they got rather smart with me with comments like (did you drip gas down the side of the car or do you live by a gas station?), Next three visits dashboards lights kept coming on and at one point they told me they didn't even have any app for the light that was coming on. Then they did a smoke test and replaced the filter, then at I take it in visit # 5, and the gas odor is very strong, the do a smoke test again, and finally replace the GAS CAP, which upon the last visit(s), I asked the simple questions.... could it possibly be the gas cap???!!! They informed me that I probably just try and TOP my car off each time at the gas station upon filling. NO I DON'T TOP OFF!. No I go in for a simple tire rotation. They tell me the front right tire is showing abnormal wear, based on the other three tires. They will rotate the tires and by the way.... you are ready for an alignment..... So I say sure. He states it will cost over $20.00 to evaluate the alignment (now this is a DODGE Dealership mind you). Service mgr., comes out and says oh your Engine Frame is out of alignment, Do you want us to continue with the alignment?, I say YES (idiot I'm thinking at this point). Never gives me a quote, etc.... So I go to settle up on the bill, and he says oh that will be $99.95!!!!!I say how did the Engine Frame get out of alignment?!.... he states oh you must have hit something?, I say NO I didn't hit anything, I drive very good highway miles and short distances for the most part.... Hell I don't even hit curves or go off road, and nobody else ever drives my car. He said oh you must of had a CURB RUB?, I say a curb rub will do that??!! Oh sure he says. Well you can tell by my tires, etc.... no curb rubs, etc..... I DON'T WANT THIS VEHICLE AND FEEL VERY UNSAFE IN IT. I'VE SPENT SO MUCH TIME AT THE DEALERSHIP WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. I SHOULD HAVE FILED THE LEMON LAW ON IT AFTER THE FIRST 3X'S FOR THE REPETITIVE GAS ODORS ISSUES!! I TRULY HATE THIS CAR AND I WILL NEVER BUY A DODGE AGAIN!
