Journey RT / AWD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,928 miles

The engine light came on the previous Sunday afternoon, so on Monday morning I went to the dealership and was told that if the engine light was not flashing the problem was not serious, and the vehicle could be driven until my appointment which would be Friday morning. Now it is Tuesday morning and the transmission will not shift out of second to third and the vehicle can not be driven over 50 km. The vehicle has just over 3000 hours on the engine and has had light use since I am retired. At this point I sure hope this is covered by warranty or I am screwed! Vehicle loan is yet to be paid off.

Journey BlackTop 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,864 miles

Drove home from the airport with no issues. The next day I used the remote start, when the car started I could hear a rattle/knocking noise from outside. Went out to find transmission fluid pissing out the bottom of the car. Something must have failed on the drive home there was transmission fluid from the front to the back of the car. Car was towed in to the selling dealer where I was told they suspect the front pump failed causing god knows what kind of damage to the transmisson.. Not what I would expect from a 3 month old car with 3000km on it.

Warranty or not.
