Journey

  • Manual transmission
  • 1,000 miles

It started with the passenger door. It would not close unless I slammed it. About 2 weeks later, it began to clunk down when i opened it. I had to lift a little every time i closed the door. This was addressed and the dealership, Karmart in Burlington, WA, replaced the hinge. This was only after taking it in 2 times where they first tried grease and the second time cleaned the grease. FInally they replaced the hinge. Over the course of a few months, this is now happening with the passenger door (again), the drivers side door and the back door, driver's side. 3 of our 4 doors are not clunking and making noises when we open and close the door. Even after the hinge was repalced and it started doing it again, Karmart said they had done all they could and would not work on it anymore. So we were left to deal with a clunky but brand new door on our brand new car. We took it to another Dodge/Chrysler shop and they actually told us they would not fix it because they checked a few of their other Dodge Journeys and they doors did the same thing on the brand new Journeys on the lot. WONDERFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP DODGE!!!! I will never buy another Dodge again.
