I was driving and I smelled smoke, saw smoke coming from my center console. I turned and looked the backside of my center console was on fire.

The ETC warning light came on, then the car slowed down then stalled out and would not crank back up. Upon running a diagnostic, the following error codes displayed; P0420, P0340, P0197, P0117, P1D83, P2181(several codes showing up more than once showing permanent, pending). This also happened before but was taken to the dealership to be repaired but the problem is back again but worse. Me and my family were on the highway at the time of this happening and when this happened previously, I begged Carvana to take this car back as it not safe and it has happened again.

While driving at any speed the vehicle will start jerking and RPM's will rev way up and heat Guage will fluctuate like the car is going to over heat but immediately drops back down to normal, when I let off the gas the vehicle starts to slow down very quickly like if I was pushing the break pedal.

The headlights have condensation inside them. I had them replaced in December of 2019 as were under warranty at the time. Two and a half years later, I noticed I-€™m having the same issue as before. There is condensation inside the headlights. The dealer told me I needed to contact their corporate office to see what can be done. I called Dodge Corporate office and was told they weren-€™t going to cover the replacement cost because the warranty expired. This is a safety issue and it appears Dodge won-€™t stand behind their product.

I took my car in for an engine knocking noise and was told that my motor needs to be replace. I was told that they have recalled all the other motors that were made during this time period but mine is not part of the recall. They have attempted it is a known issue with the cylinder that were put in the 2.4 L motors but will not help me in fixing the issue because they don't have my motor on recall. My is the E5 and the motors that they have recalled are the E4 and E6 motors that were put into the Jeeps and the Chrysler but they have not recalled the Dodges motors. Consumer have found out that these motors in fact have two recalls on them. The recall number is W80 and W84. They have found that the cylinder O-rings are bad, and this is confirmed with the with the notice that was sent with NHTSA ID # 10138863 with the manufacture communication number 9003357. Dodge is still refusing to fix the issue and replace the motor.

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the electrical system warning message was displayed and the vehicle inadvertently decelerated. The failure nearly caused a collision. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal five times for seven seconds to reset the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who performed an oil change but could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

This is the second Dodge Journey now that I have owned and both of them have electrical problems with the back tail lights as well as the rear windshield wipers left tail light and both of my vehicles. Also with my second Dodge Journey with both of the cars I have transmission problems as well and I also have airbag warning always going off of my card when I make turns. So what the transmission it spiders as you are driving I have taken it to a dealership and it said that there is three recalls but for some reason on your website it shows no recalls also what the windshield wipers in the rear only I put it at my car in reverse and all sudden they turn on by themselves and they'll stay on and don't want to turn off until it feels like turning off but my left tail light does not work at all I've had the vehicle now for two years and I've had to switch about 12 lights and now to where none will not work at all and for the airbag warning system no one will be sitting in my passenger seat and when I'm making a turn all of sudden my airbag alarm will be going off.

While I was driving on the freeway, a red battery image displayed on the menu center screen.next day had it checked, was told all was fine, everything check out..a week later was on freewayagain, headlights flicked, radio went dead(display &sound) twice, engine bogged down briefly. Car is in shop now..two days.and no accurate diagnosis..this is obviously a well-documented problem with this model of vehicle..has this caused death" will it lead to death, yes, is there help for the consumers?? I'm aware of numerous electronical problems with these and other Dodge vehicles. As I have owned one in the past with a similar problem. That cost me thousands, and could not be fixed, even by a tech from corporate out of state..now with my current situation how can I be confident on the road" also why, when the dealership know(for a fact) their vehicles have these issues. They charge a $180 diagnostic fee, that can not be applied to repair..unfair and criminal to put vehicles on the road they know are faulty..faulty as in electronic issues that no one can pinpoint..and it appears that if they throw enough parts at it, maybe that will work...these issues must stop!!

First it was all the lights on my dashboard would stay on. My usb and charging ports would go out. Every once in while my digital speedometer would randomly start doubling my speed. I took it in to the dealership. They apparently replaced the part needed. That seemed to fix that problem at least for now. But now the speedometer here and there will act up again. When it does, it's almost as if the engine is working against me to go. It feels like it tries to stop me when I am pressing the gas to go. It does not do this all the time. But it is more frequent than usual. We just purchased this vehicle a little less than two years ago. It started off with minor things, but now seems to be turning for the worse. I am concerned of it go out all together completely.dealership we went to made it seem like it was nothing. But being a daily driving I know otherwise.

As my husband was driving for work for the census, the engine light and the message notification envelope both appeared on the dash screen they flashed on once flashed off and flames blew out from both front wheels wells. Air bag light comes on and stays on for a few days. After a few days the light doesn't come on and it then it come back on. When it does light up it dings. The A/C automatically turns on after I turn it off and the touchscreen starts to flicker when that happens. This has been occurring since 2/18/2020

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Journey GT. Stated 500 miles out of 36,000 mile warranty the airbag light came on. When checked by a mechanic it had the following error code, B1C29, left side seat thorax squib 1 circuit open. Chrysler is refusing to repair as a safety issue. The light first appeared intermittently upon ignition but now remains on whenever the car is started and running. A wire under the drivers seat had become disconnected

The airbag light continues to come on while driving or once the car is started. It will stay on for a few days and then go off. When it comes on while the car is driving it will ding and stay on for days. The air conditioner/ heater jumps on and off while driving. It will be off and automatically jump on. I will turn it off and then it will jump on again. These issues were "fixed" by a Dodge dealership in may and are still reoccurring.

My 2017 Journey was manufactured in August of 2016 Dodge has a recall for Journeys for crankshaft position sensors for Journeys that were made from may of 2016 to July 2016 my car has been stalling out since 40,000 miles and the problem is getting worse upon research this may be the crankshaft position sensor and there have been multiple complants online stating others cars have had issues with this sensor but Dodge only did a limited recall on these vehicles. My car jerks 3-4 times when in reverse then stalls out or it jerks 3-4 times and stalls at stop lights or signs. Other online complaints ive seen state that people have had issues with it also stopping mid driving at high speeds.

After 65,500 miles, my two year old Dodge Journey has a catastrophic failure. The hydraulic pump blew and caused complete damage to the transmission costing me $3500 to get the complete transmission rebuilt. It's ridiculous this is happening to a 2 year old car with only 65K miles on
