I had just purchased this Dodge and it is a nice ride, but the moisture in the head light case is not at all an easy fix. I went to the dealership and was told that the fix required a total head light replacement, cover included. The cost was going to be $385.00 a piece, of course two, and the labor was $285.00. This seems to me a very easy fix, go figure. If I had the cash to pay for the fix, what does a person do when the dealership takes their sweet time to fix it?
I have tried to use a blow-dryer to dry the moisture and it worked somewhat, I returned a few hours later and to my surprise it was again filled with the moisture, worst then it was before I started. Where the hell is the moisture coming from? I am not in an area where the air is that moist? I will continue to drive it the way it is, I have no other choice. I will continue to call the dealership to get whatever help I can get, wish me luck.

Headlights leak, causing water to build up inside light housing unit. Took it to dealership where I purchased it (Auto Giant - Woodbridge VA); they don't have a service department so I went to Auto Giant - Temple Hills MD. The service mgr said this was a very common issue (😒) with this particular model but to his knowledge there was nothing to be done because once it's fixed it will happen again and again - so basically this would be an expense for as long as I owned the vehicle (which I still have it).
I took vehicle in for yearly inspection at a gas station - it would have failed immediately because of the light but the inspector was nice enough to give me the opportunity to fix it (temporary fix - used air hose to dry it out - that took 30 - 45 mins). Took it back to station and it passed. Inspector informed me that this should be corrected as soon as possible - because if the water gets around the actual bulb & wiring it could possibly start a fire!
So you tell me - if this is such a dangerous problem, then 1. why don't the dealerships know about this (or do they and don't want to take responsibility/expense of fixing it under the "bumper - bumper" warranty you get when first purchased)? 2. Why hasn't Dodge put out a recall - must someone be harmed before the "light bulb"🙄💡 comes on that this could be a problem? 3. Why should I have to incur any repair expense for a clear defect?
