Journey SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 106,000 miles

Picked up 2019 Journey at 96K miles after having a mechanic fist take a look. First oil change I found engine low on oil and had an older transmission when I tried changing the tranny fluid and filter. Noticed it blew blue smoke at second change. Engine shook the car violently just in time for the third change and I barely got her home. Engine is confirmed gone at 106k and the dealership I bought it from wont do anything because it was sold "as is" condition. Never had something like this in my life, and now I have to get a salvage yard engine so I can resell it to recoup at least something.

I've heard a lot of bad stuff about older journeys but figured a newer year might be fine. It was not fine.
