The door locks on the Dodge Magnum are prone to corrosion on their internal working parts. If this progresses far enough intermittent failure to open leads to nothing opens with the key fob, and rolling the windows down to reach out and let yourself out of this wonder car by opening your own door is the only solution. To remedy this problem I removed each door panel, removed each lock and lubricated the lock mechanism and worked the corroded and sticking locks until they moved freely. Then re-install them. I have never seen this type of failure in an American made car. The materials folks at Dodge must not have reviewed this design, or if they did they certainly didn't understand how this corrosion would likely result in tens of thousands of lock jamb ups.
