I was 100 miles from home and had to be towed. It took 2 weeks to get it diagnosed. No car in the world has to have the PCM replaced under normal circumstances. And the car only has 68,000 miles on it. Should be a recall on this. I will investigate this further and if I don't get satisfaction Dodge will lose me as a customer.

I bought it used without warranty so I really cant complain but it is unsafe to be in traffic driving with your kids and grandkids and then all of a sudden the oil light comes on an the engine shut off. Its dangerous to me ,so I don't drive it as much as I would like to and I don't go very far either because I don't want to be stranded some where far away from home.I love my car and plan on keeping it ,but I hope the dodge people can help me.

Son overfilled the tank and had the stupid stalling issues again. Doing 70 miles an hour on the freeway and traffic with this issue makes it dangerous, i think.

Refueling issues. Just fill the gas tank to 3/4 to avoid the issue.

Car stalls going around corners. Try to restart in neutral and have to floor It to get it to start again. This is about the 10th such incident in the last year.

I had this same issue at 53777 miles, cam and crank sensor shorting. My husband was going to work and as he sat at a light, the car shut off. He started it back up with no problem. I tried to go over to my parents today and I felt it start to hesitate and when I pushed on the gas the car didn't want to move. I got it back home before it started jerking badly. I don't want the timing belt to jump two teeth again. My dad checked around for the sensors and we should be able to fix for around $40 compared to the $325 the dealer charged and I won't have to put up with the rudeness.

I was driving with my children in the car when this happened. It scared me to death because I was in traffic. We could have been hurt or someone else could have been hurt. I have had my engine flushed and it still happens every now and then but not as often as it used to. I just wish that Chrysler would recall the cars and fix the problem completely.

The problem is that the magnum shuts off when is running. When you start it, the car runs for a few seconds and shuts off again.

The first time this happened, I was in a construction site in Salem North Carolina. When traffic picked back up I was nearly ran over by cars accelerating. I sat in the middle of a 4 lane highway. Just sitting there. It would not start or do anything at all. I finally thought to put it in park and then it started. I pulled off the shoulder and jumped out of the vehicle thinking that I nearly died. No one is able to tell me why it started doing it. Nobody can tell me how to fix it or what is wrong with it. It does it at least once a day and I wonder why I am making a car payment.

My 2005 Dodge Magnum RT Hemi just shuts off out of the blue while driving! Even on freeway at 70 mph it just shuts off with no warning, in fact sometimes you don't even know its off until you turn your steering wheel, only to find out you have no power steering anymore and its extremely DANGEROUS and I am LIVID! I am scared to drive my car anywhere! The oil light goes on most of the time but I just changed my oil and its not low.
However I noticed I think this is happening after I get gas? Not positive but some complaints on here they say it happens to them after they get gas? Like they fill it to much? My car had low mileage 44,00 and I bought it used so I guess I am screwed!? Why is this happening? This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Can anyone help me with this problem?
