My wife noticed the front driver air bag light came on, we took it into the dealership to get fixed, told me it was the clock spring under the seat. Asked me if we put anything under the seat and I said no. A few days later, came back on, took it back, said they fixed it again. Wife drove off the lot and had to turn back around because the light came on again. Left car with them overnight again, next day picked it up and approx two months later light has come back on and pretty much stays on. I told them that I move the front seat back when I drive the car as I am much taller than my wife. Sometimes the light goes off for a while but then comes back on. I am in fear that the air bag will not deploy in case of an accident ! I have looked online and I am not the only one who has had this same problem. I had to pay the first time I supposingly had it fixed but the dealership had my car overnight on two occasions and still I have the same problem. For some reason no one can tell me if the air bag will deploy in case of an emergency when the light is on. Please- please, help me get this taken care of.

The airbag sensor light comes on whenever I change the position of the adjustable steering wheel. The vehicle was never in an accident. It was supposed to have been corrected by the dealer on in may of 2006. But it has recurred and was reported to the dealer on 10/04/2007. It occurs every time I change the steering wheel position.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Magnum. While backing out of the driveway, the contact adjusted the steering wheel and the air bag light illuminated. The dealer advised him to bring in the vehicle for a diagnostic. The contact drove to the dealer that same day. The engineer at the dealer stated that there was a manufacturer defect with the clock spring, which caused the lights to illuminate. The speed was unknown. The failure mileage was 72,775 and current mileage was 73,000.

I have a new or had a new Dodge Magnum I had a front end collision that destroyed the complete front of the car right up to the front doors and no air bags deployed passenger or drivers side, all four wheels locked up and I was unable to steer the car. The damage to the car was extensive and my legs were crushed by the dashboard impact. Although I was wearing a seat belt.
