This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
From what I've read the TIPM has been a huge issue for many Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles, and the company has only addressed a small portion. There has been a class action suit in the United States but nothing here in Canada, despite the problem occurring on thousands of models.
Malfunction causes many different problems that make your car seem possessed. For mine, the wipers continued to stay on until I pulled the fuse. Others report various electrical issues including their car shutting off while driving. I am waiting to hear back from my mechanic if he can find a used TIPM but I'm not optimistic which means I'll be spending thousands at the dealership for something that should have been recalled years ago. I am fed up with this vehicle which has been driven and treated very carefully from the time I bought it with 30,000km on it in 2009.

I took my car to Prestage Dodge cause the car had problem starting so they tested it and said it was the fuel pumps, I asked will that take care of it they said yes. I had to borrow $600.00 to pay for it, 2 days later it started again. Took it back tested it again and they said it was the TIPM and that my extended warranty would not cover it. I did some checking on the enter net on the TIPM and that has been problems with and deaths. It says Typical symptoms of a TIPM failure
◦The fuel pump not turning off and burning out ◦The engine stalling while driving ◦The starter cranks but won’t start ◦The horn going off at random times ◦Power windows not working
I paid 600 dollars for problem that was never fixed and find it is a problem and there are lawsuits out there all so from what seen its a recall will you please help me to get this part replace on recall. thank you
