Bought 4 grand spirit touring tires size 185/60tr15 on 6/15/05. Belts on two of these tires separated. One on 7/21/08 the second on 12/19/08. Manufacturer of these tires is tbc tires. One of these tires was prorated and replaced. I was informed by tire retailer, tire kingdom, that the tire is no longer available. Now I have a tire with belt separation and two more that will no doubt do the same.

I bought the vehicle 2 months ago. Since then I have put $750 into repairs and have estimates for $1000 more worth of repairs. The manufacturers problems included a rear main oil seal leak, an oil pan gasket leak, and a distributor switch leak. There was also a bent wheel, damaged tire, and bad starter. 2000 Dodge Neon-I have had this car for 5 years and use it solely for commuting to and from work. I am a careful driver and do not abuse this vehicle. During these 5 yrs I have had the following work on this car; replaced the brakes twice within the first 2 yrs replaced the battery 3 times over 5 years replaced the transmission at 70K replaced the radiator at 70K the car performs very poorly in ice and snow. I have spun out on several major highways merely doing less than 10 mph in snow/slush. I was told my mechanic that it is the weight distribution and poor design of my vehicle that this happens. My tires have always been maintained/replaced when tread was getting low. I recently paid $400 for a set of new Michelin harmony tires hoping that the upcoming snow and ice season may not kill me. Car had a musty/fishy odor when I used the heater during the first 2 years. This has since gone. My transmission died during a thunderstorm on my way home from work. It gave no warning, all fluids had just been checked the weekend before when my oil was changed. This incident resulted in over $1900 worth of repair charges. I had just bought out my lease that very week. The $1900 I paid was my entire savings. The following repair work outstands; cdplayer is dead. It chewed up my cds. (1 year) my rear passenger door lock buzzes when I lock it. It apparently needs a new door lock assembly and actuator. (2nd year) the trunk latch does not automatically open. It takes several attempts to lock. (1st year).

While driving at 65 mph on the freeway my left rear tire blew out spinning me out of control. I hit a road side sign (one leg of the sign 12" X 24" post) on the left front quarter panel, continuing down over a small incline and coming to rest a few yards away. My seat belt failed to retract, air bags failed to deploy and the seat failed to keep me in an upright position. All this failures resulting in my being throwing around inside the car.

I brought my car in October of 99 and I've been through 11 brand new tires for some unexplained reason I keep having blowouts all the treads are intact but the sides of the tires end up with chunks missing from them. I was driving in the city doing about 30 when I felt my car pulling away from me and I could barley control it so I pulled over to check it out N there were 2 chunks missing out fot the outer side of the tire from it blowing out and the inner side of the tire looked like someone took a can opener to it. Needless to say the 4 original tires my car came with did the same thing those tires were replace and my tires can only be replaced by good year model P185/60R15 no other tire fits I had 4 tires replaced in mayof 2000 then I replaced another 3 because of the same problem in feb2001 all at my own expense and it is now July and a nother tire blew im sick of it.
