Neon SRT-4 2.4L

  • Manual transmission

I was going to sell my car but I wanted to fix the rattle first. The first dealership said they couldn't hear it that was after leaving my car with them a couple of times and finding out hours later that they did nothing. (Melloy Dodge in Alb NM) I finally took the service adviser for a ride to show him the rattle and he told me it was normal. (Thanks for nothing Tom Pappas) It's not normal for a new car to rattle. I took it to another dealership that heard the rattle and replaced the boost gauge 3 times and ordered a new vacuum hose. They still hadn't fixed the problem.

I got my car back because the vacuum hose was on back order and the next day the transmission started to knock. I thought it would be the engine but it felt weird in reverse and they have now ordered a new transmission, so I was right, something about bearings.

I've been without a car for a month now. This is going to be the fourth dealership to work on my car in a year.
